Customers using the TDMoEA card for the AM3440 or other TDMoEA products from Loop do not know the transmission delay time for a signal to cross the packet network. Knowing this time is important because it affects the user’s choice of the jitter buffer size and thus performance for certain applications like voice.
A new feature for the TDMoEA card allows measuring of the transmission delay for TDMoEA bundle circuits. Customers will be able to know the maximum, minimum, and average amount of transmission delay. The transmission delay is measured in milliseconds and is easily accessible after configuration.
