Situation:
A North African end customer wants to develop a new oil field and set up a comprehensive infrastructure, including a telecommunication network along their pipelines. To support their critical voice and data traffic, they emphasize the need for a reliable and available network through SDH with STM-16 capacity.
The end customer specifies the SDH system should be designed with a modular architecture, including low-speed and high-speed interfaces at all locations. Furthermore, it needs to provide a high level of transmission system interconnectivity and be equipped with 1+1 protection mode. The end customer also needs an NMS, which could identify faults at module level, show detailed information of panel and alarm, monitor BER and trigger alarms when exceeding defined limits, and enable remote access to all SDH equipment via a data channel.
Solution:
Loop has a good penetration in North African oil & gas sector, so the customer chooses to use Loop-O9500R, Loop-AM3440-E-CHEA and Loop-iNET, as an economical all-in-one solution to construct the telecommunication network.
Loop-O9500R with low-speed (FXO, FXS) and high-speed (EoS, E1) interfaces are deployed at the two main stations over SDH STM-16 with 1+1 protection. Its TDMoE card will transport the voice and data over optical Ethernet to Loop-AM3440-E-CHEA with FXS interface of the telecom repeater station. Loop-AM3440-E-CHEA will convert and extend FXS voice through the optical Ethernet to the other two stations. The telecom equipment all above could be managed and remotely accessed by Loop-iNET.
