Loop Statement to support SONET/SDH products/technologies up to 2040

General News

LOOP TELECOMMUNICATONS INTL, herein referred to as Loop, is announcing to all current/future users of Loop equipment within the Mission Critical Communications Community/LECs, Loop partners, and end customers, throughout its world deployments of O9500RO9400R and G7800 like equipment, who are considering the retention/update or replacement of their SDH/SONET Networks that Loop will continue to provide its multiple solutions, support and maintenance through the end of 2040 for these equipment and associated features.

Many companies within the MCC community are being pressured to move to all packet networks, while their current networks are both supportable and upgradeable with current technology offerings from Loop, both at the edge and network level, thus extending the life of the current network and allowing for the transition of the network at the proper time and with cost management totally under the control of the system operator.

Key to Loop’s offering through the quoted time frame is that our SDH/SONET technologies are in FPGA and will not be affected by any discontinuity of commercial SDH/SONET ICs from IC Vendors.

Loop with its 30 years of supplying, highly reliable, all modular systems via the addition of a new card/firmware, when needed for new features, stands ready to address any requirements that are put forth. The existing O9400R SDH/SONET/PTN ADM/TM has OC3 to OC48, STM1 to STM16 and also PTN10G interface card with MPLS-TP for users who would like to continue to use SONET/SDH technologies and could employ MPLS-TP simultaneously. The O9500R has the same features with the addition of various DS0 services. The O9400R, O9500R and G7800, as well as other Loop equipment, can be managed by Loop-iNET and Loop-iNMS Network Management Systems.
