  • Outbound NAT, also known as Source Network Address Translation (SNAT), is a networking technique where a router or firewall modifies the source IP address of outgoing packets from a private network to a public IP address before they are sent to the Internet. This helps conserve public IP addresses, enhances security, and facilitates communication between the private network and the Internet by hiding internal addresses.
