  • The Optical Transport Network is a technology defined by the ITU-T G.709. It is a Layer 2 multiplexing of optical signal to enable the transport of optical packet based and SDH/SONET traffic. This technology supports full independency for all client interfaces as active/ inactive transmission, their OAM, their clock synchronization and a total inter-channel security.
